Vandenbroek
Vandenbroek is specialized in the design and manufacturing of drying systems and associated equipment since 1948. Vandenbroek is a worldwide supplier of drying installations, engineering and contracting services for turnkey (drying) projects.
Stibbe Participaties acquired Vandenbroek Thermal Processing in 2006 from the Dutch publicly listed company Grontmij. Vandenbroek was limiting its potential by acting solely as an independent contractor for turnkey solutions. Stibbe improved project management, cost control, calculation systems and contract/risk management. Next, the team executed a component-plus strategy and OEM partnership for engineering contractors in the environmental industry. Last but not least, the company’s focus was diversified from the agriculture market to the alternative fuel market (wood pellets, sludge, municipal solid waste).
In 2013 Vandenbroek was sold to the publicly listed international technology group ANDRITZ in Austria. ANDRITZ is a globally leading supplier of plants, equipment, and services for hydropower stations, the pulp and paper industry, the metalworking and steel industries, and for solid-liquid separation in the municipal and industrial sectors.
